The 4-Point Inspection

Many insurers require a 4-point inspection for older homes. It covers:

1. Roof
2. Electrical
3. Plumbing
4. HVAC

Electrical red flags

• Federal Pacific or Zinsco panels
• Knob-and-tube wiring
• Ungrounded or aluminum branch wiring
• Undersized service (often under 100 amps)

Fixing these first can make it easier to find coverage.
